We’ve photographed more than 500 weddings together, and after all that time there’s one thing we’re absolutely certain about.


The wedding matters as much as the photographs.


That’s why we’ll get involved when it helps, leave things alone when it doesn’t, and never expect you to know how to make the photography work. That’s our job.

When you book Sam and Andy, you get Sam and Andy.


We’re full time wedding photographers, long time friends and we’ve been working weddings together for years.

For every wedding of five hours or more, both of us will be there. We don’t send associates in our place or outsource your wedding to somebody you’ve never met.

You’ll know who’s photographing your wedding before you book us, because it’s us.

I’ve been photographing weddings for more than 17 years. By now I’ve seen just about every version of a wedding day, but I still never know exactly what the next one is going to give me.


That’s a large part of why I still enjoy doing this.


I like solving problems, finding photographs and helping people who are convinced they’re going to be terrible in front of a camera discover that they really aren’t.


Outside weddings, music is a huge part of my life, and you'll quite often find me photographing that too.

I’ve always photographed people. Before weddings that meant portrait and editorial work, and it's still the part of photography I enjoy most.


I’m usually the first to notice when somebody needs a bit of help, whether that's knowing what to do for a photograph or something completely unrelated to photography.


Away from Venus, I also run Samantha Chappell Photography, where I photograph families, portraits and smaller weddings around Cheshire and Manchester.
